The Rationality of making a film without motion nor narrative

Oil on cavas and wood panel installation | 380cm x 500cm | 2008

This installation was created as part of an exhibition for the degree show in 2008, An ambitious piece created to depict the idea of walking through a sequence of films.

The paintings distort and wrap around the structures that they're painted on as if they were projected like a film at the cinema. The inspiration behind this was to create a timeless moment similar to a comic book, but where a comic book reads from left to right often, the native of this piece was fragmented. Viewers of the exhibition could view the work from a variety of different angles.

The artwork featured scenes from films such as Back to the Future, Blade, The Transporter 2, Batman Begins, 2 Fast 2 Furious, The Matrix, Kill Bill, The Notebook, and Wild Wild West.
